Why Order From a Professional Lab?
Once you receive your full gallery from your session, you might be wondering “ok, now what”. STOP where you are and repeat after me: I will not let my photos die on a hard drive. These little sweeties deserve see the light of day! They need a place of honor in your home. Its super important to print your photos in order to get their full value, and seeing them every day will definitely help with that.
What I love about having printed photos is its kind of like a positive affirmation that I get to see daily. When I see my photos of Steven and I, I get a split second of warm-fuzzy feelings, regardless of how recently I wanted to throw him off a cliff for leaving chips in the living room. When I see the photos I have with my family, I instantly think “oh ya, my people love me. maybe this day isn’t so bad after all.” And when I see my boudoir photos in their album, I get a large dose of “I AM FANTASTIC” - perfect for a dreary mid-week pick me up.
I always recommend my clients order directly from my professional lab, aka directly from their gallery. I know it might be tempting to go to Walgreens and print them there, but please for the love of all that is holy do not do that! Snapfish too. These types of places print on a large format, low DPI printer that will never retain the quality, sharpness, or depth that a professional print shop will. My print shop uses type-c (chromogenic) printing, with light sensitive silver crystals, which allows for vibrant, true-to-life colors and maximum detail retention. These prints hold their quality for SIXTY YEARS if stored properly. Most retail-facing printers are not going to be able to offer the quality, detail, or longevity of a print from a professional lab.
If you’re looking for ways to display your photos, I have tons of inspiration saved on my wall decor pinboard! If you have any questions about ordering prints or albums, leave a comment below or shoot me an email!
