Pacific Northwest Golden Hour Engagement: Devin + Evan

This session is what golden hour dreams are made of! The craziest part of this day was driving into the location and just across the street there were about SEVENTY ELK! I was driving through the North Bend/Snoqualmie area, looked to my right and thought “huh, those cows should be fenced… OMG THOSE AREN’T COWS!”. One of my favorite things about living in the Pacific Northwest is all the amazing wildlife we get to see year round. My parents finished their house in Hobart this year and its elk central! So many cities and towns just miles from Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond have wildlife galore. Heck, my grandmother has fallen head over heels for a bear that visits her house in Carnation!

Sweet animals aside, how amazing is the light we got on this day for Devan and Evan’s engagement session? Mt. Si, one of the foothills of the Cascades, is just peeping over the horizon, lit up by the setting sun. The Snoqualmie-North Bend region is absolutely flush with gorgeous locations for engagement sessions, especially at golden hour. In fact, this place is only miles from Snoqualmie Falls, another engagement session favorite!
