North Cascades Engagement Session: Natalie + Bobby

We did Natalie and Bobby’s engagement session on a sunny morning just before the full snow set in the North Cascades. Diablo Lake, located up in North Cascades National Park, is a great location for engagement session photography because it requires no hike to get to this incredible vista - you just hop out of your car and walk right out! Of course, it is an extremely popular spot for tourists in the North Cascades, so be prepared to share the scenery! Diablo Lake is a reservoir created by the Ross Lake Dam, and in the distance there is even a little hydropower plant! After a few sessions this morning, I went to head to my next one at Washington Pass, but the snow had already overcome most of the North Cascades Highway, and even with my crazy tires it was still super dicey. But wow was Washington Pass in the full snow a dream! It totally looked like Narnia. Would love to find a way to meet clients out there and do a little snowshoe action next year!
