Seattle Event Planner + Entrepreneur: Kyro Parker

This winter, my videographer bestie BreeAnna and I met with Kyro Parker of Good Friend Events for a branding session that highlighted her goals as an entrepreneur. Kyro is an immensely creative entrepreneur with a talent for planning. After hearing her words of advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, BreeAnna and I were both ready to sign up for her tedtalk! Here’s what she said:

Hi I’m Kyro Parker, I’m the owner of Good Friend Events, where I do wedding planning and event coordination. I also am a serial entrepreneur, so I own a couple businesses, including Lakewood Barber Shop, and KyroParker.com, where I help entrepreneurs grow their small businesses through business strategies. 

I get joy really helping people set clear goals. I realize that people really struggle when they set goals, and because of that, they might have a dream that tends to be this forefront thought; you keep going over in your head but it still seems far fetched. What I try to do is make that dream practical. 

Whats next is definitely helping wedding vendors grow their business. I think its an appropriate time to take the time to self reflect, to figure out who you are, and who you are REALLY, not who you’ve been being, but who you are INSIDE, and really figure out what you want, what your desires are, and really go for those. For a bride and groom, that would mean what you want in a wedding day and what’s truly important to you, then hone in on those things. For vendors and entrepreneurs alike, its really just hone in on YOUR passion, so when you dial on that, then make it come to fulfillment.
