The Huntley Lodge Wedding: Kasey + Paul
Fun fact about me: in college I worked at Jimmy Johns for two years! It was a blast since we were in a college town, right across the street from the busiest bar. I have such fun memories of work parties, including adults-only Easter egg hunts, Boone’s pass in the walk-in freezer (sorry!!), and laughing at all the hilarity of late-night customers in full Halloween costumes. It was here that I met Kasey and Paul, before they were even dating! Their wedding was full of fellow Jimmy Johns pals, and it was so fun to have a little reunion!
It was so special, having known these two for almost 10 years, and then seeing Paul’s reaction the first time he saw Kasey in her dress. We were all crying a bit I think! Their love is truly an inspiration to me. The way they compliment each other so perfectly, it seems serendipitous that they would meet making sandwiches in a tiny little town, 5 hours away from the city. Their vows were incredibly heartfelt and meaningful, they almost had to force themselves to giggle to get through without dissolving into tears.
This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Huntley Lodge in Cle Elum. It had so many features that make it perfect for a wedding! Groovy cabins for the wedding party to get ready in, or even for guests to stay! And when the rain started pouring, it was so easy to move the reception into the main hall! It also featured a very cool covered outdoor space that really added to the party atmosphere. And once the rain let up, we headed out to the dance under the stars and the twinkle lights! Be sure to check out Paul and Kasey’s wedding topper at the end of this post!
