Wind Mountain Ranch Wedding: The Decks

One wedding at Wind Mountain Ranch in Stevenson, WA, and this place instantly shot to the top of my favorite venues list. I met Vanessa and Alex at Alex’s sister Lindsay’s wedding at Abeja Winery in Walla Walla, WA. I was so inspired that day, and this day was no different. Color was so key in Vanessa’s wedding vision. Her florals were made up of beautiful wildflowers in bright colors, and her bridesmaids wore warm-neutral slip dresses that looked perfect in the bright summer sun.

Vanessa chose a two-piece dress from Grace Loves Lace and the movement that it had in the wind was truly picturesque. The couple’s sweet dog Rocco, who was also featured at their Gold Creek Pond engagement session, was a great assistant ring bearer at their ceremony. Their reception served wood fired pizza and even their wedding cake was decorated with wildflowers. If you look closely, you can see the mountains of the Columbia River Gorge done in icing on the bottom layer. Wind Mountain Ranch is situated on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. The Oregon side is full of some of the world’s most incredible waterfalls.

During Alex and Vanessa’s golden hour wedding portraits, we were able to get a full view of the gorge looking almost like the fjords of Norway. I love how the geology of the Pacific Northwest is so reminiscent of the best international destinations.
