Tacoma Newborn Photographer: The Reynolds Family
Newborn photography is such a fun, calming, and sweet way for me to step away from the craziness of wedding and elopement days. The first few days as a family are quiet, and peaceful, plus a great chance for parents to wear a comfy outfit and keep things more low-key. I actually have two options for newborn photography in the Seattle/Tacoma area, which I’ll outline here:
The first option, which is what the Reynolds family chose, is to have your newborn session in the comfort of your own home. In-home newborn sessions are great because you don’t have to go through the complex sequence of getting a newborn in the car. Plus, you have all your baby items with you, and you can include your pets! If you choose to do an in-home session, try bumping your thermostat up a few degrees before your session time. It helps little ones stay warm as they’re changed into whichever outfits you choose, and usually cuts down on fussiness too.
The second option is to do a session with your little one at the studio in Pioneer Square. The nice thing about a studio newborn session is that you don’t have to worry about straightening up your house/stashing baby shower items/making sure your pets don’t interrupt. The studio is perfectly styled for lifestyle sessions with a modern vibe.
Whichever type of newborn photography session you choose, we’ll make its as smooth and relaxing as possible. I definitely recommend arriving to your session with your little one just recently fed, and of course you’re welcome to feed them in the studio as well! The fuller, sleepier, and cozier they are, the easier it is for us to capture those sweet little moments!
