Pacific Northwest Forest Wedding: Taylor + Nolan
Taylor and Nolan had their intimate forest wedding at Shangri-La on the Green in Enumclaw, WA. This wedding venue is one for the books. Complete with lodge-style reception place, an adorable waterfall, and a reflection pond worthy of Mulan, there’s a reason its called Shangri-La. Its surrounded by dense forest greenery, and its less than two hours outside of Seattle.
So many couples come from outside of Seattle, even from around the world, looking to have their weddings in the dense, ancient forest of the Pacific Northwest. This can pose a challenge to couples who are looking to find a place where they can be surrounded by trees, but not ask their guests to sleep in tents in the mountains. That’s where venues like Shangri-La in Enumclaw come in, with their proximity to the city of Seattle but still feeling miles away from the buzz of downtown and the traffic. Enumclaw and the surrounding areas are perfect for maintaining that intimate rainforest feeling, and accommodating all of your wedding guests as well.
Taylor and Nolan’s day was so intimate; tucked away in the forest and surrounded by only their closest family and friends for their ceremony. After getting ready in the lodge at Shangri-La, they did their first look at the reflection pond, where they could share the most intimate moment as just the two of them. They said their vows at the base of the waterfall, and headed back to the lodge to dance, cut the cake, and finish off the night with a s'more party!
