Ruby Beach Engagement Session: Wyatt + Abbey

We just barely missed the rain on this Washington coast engagement session this winter! One thing I love about the Washington coast is even though it can be a little wet and wild sometimes, if you just wait about 10 minutes, most real rainstorms will pass. What’s leftover is the most gorgeous light, so flattering on skin tones and makes everyone look like a star. Now that Steven’s family has a cabin in Seabrook, (teensy little town near Pacific Beach), I’m hoping to make it out to the coast a lot more often! Once summer comes around, I’ll be posted up there as often as possible!

Wyatt and Abbey’s engagement session at Ruby Beach had all the moody Pacific Ocean magic that you could wish for. Here in Washington, we don’t have the golden coast vibes you’ll find in Southern California, and any time of year could have a chance of a rain or windstorm. What we do have though, are some of the coolest sea stacks on the entire west coast. These formations are shaped over thousands of years by water and wind. Before we were here doing engagement sessions, people were gathering kelp and shellfish here to support their way of life. There is something that feels so timeless and special about these amazing Washington beaches, and of course, they are nothing short of romantic!
