Leavenworth Adventure Engagement: Sarah + Andrew
Have you ever been to the little Bavarian town of Leavenworth, WA? Although the fudge and wine are great, the amazing hikes are really the best part! For Andrew and Sarah’s engagement session, they knew they wanted something adventurous, since they are big into the outdoors and exploring. It turned out, this hike we went on was one of their first dates! We had the best time trekking through the pine forest, and the view of the lake at the end was to die for! We got some amazing alpenglow light, and they brought all their outfits inside their backpacking gear! Of course we had to get a shot with the packs on for their save-the date, since adventuring is a huge part of who they are as a couple.
At the end of the session, they jumped right in that freezing glacial lake! And once you’re already in, might as well pop on your suits for a little swimming right? I think mountain snow runoff is probably great for your health. I’m not a doctor, so don’t quote me on that, but it feels true. This hike was about 8 miles round trip. If you’re thinking “ok we have this hike that’s super special to us, but might be too long for an engagement session”, don’t even stress! No hike is too long, and if need be, we’ll pack the tents and stove and do an over-nighter. Backpacking sessions and elopements are the best!
