Lake McDonald Elopement: Jesse and Shyloh

Last September, my photography-bestie and I headed east in a van for some styled sessions in Glacier National Park. Our first was with Jesse and Shyloh, doing a styled elopement at Lake McDonald. We had all types of weather, from clouds, to golden sun, to rainshowers that were lit up at golden hour. We even saw a rainbow! Lake McDonald is known for its clear water and multicolored rocks that make the lakebed so unique.

Despite the rain, we were able to capture some beautiful shots of Jesse and Shyloh outside the Lake McDonald Lodge. The rain added a romantic touch to the photos, and the of the lake and surrounding trees were shadowed and moody.
