Downtown Seattle Engagement Session: Jake + Sam

Where to start with this magical day? Let’s start with the star (IMO)… CHAUNCEY!!!! You guys this is the pug of all pugs. He’s just a lil guy and he’s smaller than your average pug, and softer too! And his nickname is CHA CHA. Like be cuter. This little snuggler was so full of kisses and love for this session!

Full disclosure, Jake is my cousin, and Sam is the perfect addition to our family. We can be an extremely rowdy bunch, and she always can hang with our craziness. I am so happy they are finally engaged and she is stuck with us for good!

For their session, Sam, Jake, Chauncey and I first met at their apartment in the South Lake Union area. Chauncey gave me a tour of the living room and balcony, and then we headed to Pioneer Square and a downtown rooftop for some golden hour magic. I love how the texture of the old bricks and the new glass buildings contrast with the golden light in Pioneer Square. There’s a lot of new construction going on down there right now, but I can’t wait til this pandemic is over and we can crowd down there again under the twinkling Occidental Square lights. If you’re looking for an urban vibe for your engagement session that’s more gritty + romantic than corporate business, Pioneer Square is the perfect spot!
