Backyard Pacific Northwest Wedding: Wyatt + Brie
Remember Wyatt and Brie from their amazing engagement session on the peninsula? Check out their waterfall engagement session. Wyatt is my best friend Savannah’s little brother - I have known him since he was 5 years old! To see him grow up and meet someone as perfect for him as Brie - well it just reminds me that fairytales are real. Yes I sobbed the whole day. They are just so perfect for each other, their love had everyone in tears. After planning a big estate wedding for may, the pandemic hit and it was onto the next plan: their recently purchased house in Federal Way, not too far from Seattle, WA. This place could straight up be a wedding venue all on its own! With its sun-drenched windows, warm wood paneling, forested property and even a pool! Of course, being a Johnson means every detail is thought of and heartfelt. They had floating flowers and candles in the pool, Edison lights to add sparkle, and everything was put together and organized by their amazing wedding party. Their best friend Mikayla officiated, and Wyatt surprised everyone when his vows rhymed perfectly. At first I was like, is this a rap? Is this a poem? But it didn’t matter because I was already crying so much from the heartfelt message he read. At dinner, they surprised us all by announcing a third Johnson would be joining them in February - a baby boy! After Savannah’s wedding in Tiburon September of 2018, Wyatt spent so much of the after party telling me how excited he was to marry Brie and have a family. Seeing the look in his eyes, I knew that future would be right around the corner for them. And on this day, it all came true.
After their ceremony and the most amazing dinner from Lind’s Meats, it was time to head to the dance floor. The party wasn't over until we all had some fun with sparklers, a mini pool party, and a bouquet toss! I wish I could relive this day every weekend, it was so fabulous.
